This morning Noah packed up his backpack and his baby elephant Gerk. I had to bribe him with an oreo to put his shoes on. I chucked on the first thing I could find because getting up at 7am is not a natural thing in our house. My kids love sleep just as much as I do- Thank god. We had our breakfast and slowly made our way to the car... trying to avoid the muddy puddles in our driveway (f*ck you Peppa Pig for making muddy puddles so appealing). I dropped him off to his first full day at Mcleod Kids and he ran away from me as soon as we made it inside the centre. I practically had to force a cuddle out of him.
Its so quiet in my house right now, Tui is sleeping. I don't really know what to do with myself because I cleaned yesterday and my washing machine broke so Cheng (my best friend at the laundromat) will get his christmas early when I take my washing to him. LOL. Thanks Cheng, You da man. This is kind of awesome, I'm not gunna lie. My sanity is slowly creeping back to me!

Hi everyone (or.. just myself), I'm currently writing to you from a computer covered in oreo's, baby dribble and fingerprints. I'm surprised the mac has lasted this long with the king of destruction around! We have been quite busy. Tonga and I are so excited to have finally found a childcare centre for Noah who have taken his allergies in to account without blinking. Mcleod Kids in Te Atatu don't allow egg or peanuts inside their centre an they have a chef who prepares healthy and yummy (by the smell of it) meals. Noah has had 5 visits so far and absolutely loves it. The teachers are very respectful of the children and I really love the way they talk to each of them. I wanted to find a centre where Noah will be allowed to be a toddler and explore without being limited or be shown "how". It's really important to us that he can still be free to play and explore how he wants to even when he's away from home. We hope as a result of going to his new centre, that Noah will continue to grow as an awesome, independent little guy and make some friends in the process.
We had our 6 monthly check up with Noah's paediatric specialist team and he is progressing well with his allergies and his eczema is really good at the moment. He has another skin prick test coming up (and he knows the hospital isn't he best place to be now). I'm kind of dreading it and I'll be gearing up with a bag of treats for that day! After the results come back from that, we might be allowed to do a dairy in baking challenge test. This is where Noah will be admitted to hospital and will eat tiny amounts of food (like a muffin or something) with cows milk in it. We have done one of these tests before (for egg in baking) and he ate a crumb the size of this <--> and reacted immediately. I'm hoping we will do better this time! Cross your fingers for us. Tonga has been really busy with work and the kids and I have been hanging out around the house. Noah's favourite thing to do at the moment is hide playdough in the most random of places and leave it for mummy to find stuck to her butt/shoe/back/sock just as she's about to leave the house... Today we picked some carrots from our garden! Carrots are Noah's favourite vegetable. I told him that if he eats too many that he might turn into a carrot and he thought that was pretty cool. This morning I gave Noah his breakfast and he pulled my face to his and said "i'm so proud of you mummy" hes such a little character. Tui has begun to grow a little tooth at the top of her cute gummy smile. She's been slugging (its her very own way of crawling around) for about 3 weeks now. Its really weird but I guess if it works.. then why not? She dribbles like a tap and has just started to giggle and laugh in the last week. Shes such a beautiful little baby and has a calm nature just like her daddy. Until next time, S x |
